  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format only.
  • The submission strictly follows JTEC Manuscript Format. Failure to adhere to the required format will results in technical reject of the submission.

  • JTEC is currently abstracted and indexed in Google Scholar, Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources (ROAD), Malaysian Journal Management System (MYJurnal) and Malaysian Citation Index (MYCite).

Author Guidelines

The journal use the Online Journal System (OJS) for its publication procedures, encompassing submission, review, proofreading, and copyediting.  Each submission will undergo screening to ensure a similarity index of less than 30% before the review process begin.

The manuscript article should be written in English in the font of Times New Roman which include abstract, introduction, literature review, research methodology, results and discussions, conclusion, acknowledgement and references. Manuscript should be prepared via the Microsoft Word processor.

The formatting is strictly follow JTEC template: JTEC Manuscript Template. The manuscript format is outlined below.

A.     Page Limit

The number of page for the manuscript may vary from minimum of 4 pages to the maximum of 10 pages in A4 size. Authors are required to strictly advise to adhere to this limit. Manuscript with less than 4 pages or exceeding 10 pages may be unable to be included in the Journal.

B.     Margin

The manuscript should be within the print area with margin of 0.7 inches top and bottom; and 0.65 inches for left and right margin. Page number should appear at the bottom right of the odd pages and bottom left of the even pages of the manuscript.

C.     Text

The body of the manuscript should be typed in double column (column width = 3.38 inches and column spacing 0.2 inches), single spacing, 10-font size, Times New Roman, printed on one side of the sheet. Section headings should be typed in 10-font size, Times New Roman, centered in the column with small cap effects and each of the word is capitalized. Sections should be numbered consecutively.

D.     Figures Format

Format and save your graphic images using a suitable graphics processing program that will allow you to create the images as PostScript (PS), Encapsulated PostScript (EPS), or Tagged Image File Format (TIFF), sizes them, and adjusts the resolution settings. If you created your source files in one of the following you will be able to submit the graphics without converting to a PS, EPS, or TIFF file: Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, or Portable Document Format (PDF).

E.     References

Authors are required to follow the IEEE format style for all references cited in the manuscript. References should be numbered and cited within the square brackets in order of appearance in the text. Example of references can be from books, journal publication, conference proceedings and websites. A list of references should be listed at the end of the manuscript. No footnotes are allowed. The references should be typed in single spacing, 8-font size, Times New Roman. All references should be to the most pertinent and up-to-date sources. Use of a tool such as EndNote, Mendeley, or any relevant tools for reference management and formatting are acceptable, provided that it follows consistent format as the following examples:
